Davao’s Undying Heritage Showcased at Kadayawan Festival
Miss Universe PH 2024 Chelsea Manalo joins PLDT Home at Kadayawan 2024 A gathering for the senses, Davao City’s “King of Festivals” is a paradise for everyone, Powered by PLDT Home, The Kadayawan Festival, now on it’s 39 th year, has been showcasing the City’s local culture and heritage to tourists and content creators alike. Kadayawan Festival gives visitors a taste of the beautiful visuals, sounds, and palates of the region. Celebrated from August 7 th to 18 th of every year, the festival features the 11 Indigenous Groups of Davao; Obu Manobo, Tagabawa-Bagobo, Maranao, Sama, Ata, Tausug, Bagobo, Iranun, Kagan, Matigsalug, and Maguindanawon. Indeed, a celebration of the region’s bountiful harvest. In partnership with PLDT Home, one of the highly-anticipated events in the festival’s lineup is the Hiyas ng Kadayawan pageant.
