TAMAN TIRTA GANGGA

A palace built in 1946 for the Royal Family of Karangasem, the Taman Tirta Gangga is a garden, and a sanctuary in one.

Known for its huge koi fishes, pools, and luscious greens, Taman Tirta Gangga is a go-to place if you love to chill under the shades while listening to the sound of water.

SOUND OF WATERS

Unexpectedly one of the places I would like sitting around and just seek silence in.

I was looking forward to this place because of the photos I saw online. The circular platforms over water, huge Koi fishes (huge as in some are bigger than me), the surrounding gardens, and the sound of flowing water, it was a multi-sensory experience I would like to go back to if given the chance.

I always find the sound of water so calming and peaceful, and being in this place makes me hear those sounds whilst looking around lush, green trees and plants. It invokes serenity in a way it can only do. And knowing the history behind the creation of this place makes it everything more special.

More photos from this on here :)
