SANTI COFFEE PLANTATION
Do you love coffee? Tea? Curious of how things work and how our favourites are made? Same.
Our next stop is Santi Coffee Plantation. It is generally a coffee plantation, but they do have different kinds of teas as well. When you arrive at the place and have settled on a table and chairs, someone will approach you and ask if you want to try their set of taste testers. Of course we tried it! We're already here so might as well, right?
At first it is a bit intimidating to see this much coffee and teas served in front of of me, but this feeling was later overpowered by my excitement to tey everything. And my tastebuds were rewarded. Everything just tastes so good. They use coconur sugar to ass sweetness to the drinks which makes them have this caramelish sweetness rather than that "in your face" sweetness regular sugar has. It was delighful and easy on the tastebuds.
Once you finish the taster set, they will ask you which one you like most and if you'd like to get a full order. But i didn't come here for the regular ones, but for the most famous coffee they have - the Coffee Luwak or Civet Coffee.
As for the Civet Coffee, the hype was real! And it is worth the hype. The flavor is bold and strong; cI almost forgot to share about the little tour they will have before you get tro try their drinks. The tour allows you to see how their coffee luwak is processed. It is amusing to see how small their production is and how it is made in house. From thw coffee plants down to the roasted beans. It was a show i will never get tired of seeing. Especially hearing fron the guide how less of the coffee luwak is produced compared to the regular coffees. Because all the civets are wild, it is hard to go after them and harvest their coffee poops - which are used to create this gem of a coffee cup. And of course, the price is worth the effort.
Outside the tasting area, there will be a display area where you can see all the products they offer: chocolates infused with different flavours that ised natural ingredients - a personal favourite is chocolate-orange. It reminds me of that sandwich biscuit from way back home and it brough back childhood memories and i love it. I do not know how much i spent buying different teas and coffees, and chocolates from their shop. But that's not important.
Overall, this coffee and tea experience is something to try for both tea and coffee lovers.an fight your imaginary enemies for you. Jk. It also has some acidity to it, which i think is kind of normal for stronger types of coffee.
Since i love to drink both coffee and tea, this place was such a heaven-sent paradise for me.
A PEACE OF HEAVEN FOR TEA AND COFFEE LOVERS
